First Normal Form (1NF)

First Normal Form (1NF) sets the very basic rules for an organized database as follows:

  • Eliminate duplicate columns from the same table.
  • Create separate tables for each group of related data and identify each row with a unique column or set of columns (i.e., primary key).

Record Source

The purpose of the Record Source property is to set the source of the data for the report. You can set the Record Source property to a table name, a query name, or you can build your own SQL statement by invoking the Query Builder.
